My name is Rhonda Fox, Secretary/Treasurer of the Cherokee County Sportsmans Fish and Game Assoc., West Mineral, Kansas. Our organization holds several free annual events that help promote family outdoor activities. We have an annual fishing derby, several rifle shoots, rifle safety, and rifle site-in days. All the events we have are free to the public and available for various ages. We hold all events on a 400 acre site that was donated to the club many years ago on the condition that members hold events that focus on outdoor activities for families. The acreage contains many fishing holes in addition to wooded areas for hiking and exploring, a separate area rifle range and designated camping areas. Donations are vital for our success and I am writing to ask if Yum would be willing to donate items for our June 6 fishing derby. We provide a free "fishing packet" to every participant (16 and under and 60 and over) which usually will include bobbers, hooks, sinkers, lures, etc., and tackle boxes and poles for our larger prizes, but we will gratefully accept any donation.
